Quanti sono online

ho un codice php in cui un utente registrato in gruppo può leggere dei doc associati solo al gruppo stesso... ora io vorrei anche che possa, l'utente, vedere anche quanti del proprio gruppo sono presenti online... mi suggerite come fare?
