[ubuntu] riconoscimento webcam e bluetooth

Ciao a tutti! Ho appena acquistato un ASUS, come molti di voi sapranno...
Questo bel laptop ha una webcam e un dispositivo bluetooth incorporati, ma GNOME non mi vede nessuno dei due... Ho installato bluez, ma niente... Camorama, e niente... ho trovato delle utility per gli ASUS nelle repositories, ma non sono adatte al mio modello...

Qualcuno ha qualche buon consiglio (anche indipendentemente dalla configurazione hardware) per far riconoscere al computer queste due "periferiche"?

Le webcam più recenti sono ancora "work in progress", io avevo trovato i driver per quella del mio HP ed erano da compilare a mano o quasi (si trattava di una Ricoh montata anche da altre marche, magari è simile alla tua).

Per il bluetooth boh, a me tocca usare una chiavetta esterna (che in compenso va tranquillamente)

Suona un po' troppo windows, eh? :P

Ad ogni modo, quei driver/moduli, dove li avevi trovati?

non è detto che non possano funzionare....

innanzitutto dovresti vedere che chipset usano....posta l'output del comando lspci

Se dai "lsusb -v" ti da più informazioni, tra cui una voce "Category" da cui si può cercare di capire di cosa si tratta. La mia webcam ha come category "Imaging".

Camorama non la vede perchè i driver non sono installati, le informazioni che vedi sono quelle che riporta il dispositivo.
